What to Expect from Treatment
There can be many goals for the therapeutic relationship. Some of these will be long term goals such as improving the quality of your life, learning to live with mindfulness and self-actualization. Others may be more immediate goals such as decreasing anxiety and depression symptoms, developing healthy relationships, changing behavior (i.e. impulsivity, bingeing/purging or decreasing/ending drug/alcohol use). Whatever the goals for therapy, they will be set by you, according to what you want to work on in therapy. I may make suggestions, and utilize clinical interventions on how to reach that goal but you decide where you want to go.
I provide individual psychotherapy, which can take place, once, twice, or three times a week, depending on your needs. I also provide family therapy with existing clients.
Sessions are scheduled by appointment only.
I have a **two business day** cancellation policy for current clients.
Professional Fees & Insurance
I am currently a provider for CHP (NYU Student Plans). I am no longer accepting any other in-network insurance plan.
If I am not a participating provider for your insurance plan, I will supply you with a monthly receipt of payment for services, which you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Please note that not all insurance companies reimburse for out-of-network providers. Below are questions to ask your insurance agency:
- Do I have out of network mental health benefits?
- If so, is an LCSW covered?
- What is my deductible and has it been met?
- How many sessions per calendar year does my plan cover?
- How much will I be reimbursed for out of network providers?
Professional fees, and fee schedules will be determined on an individual basis.
