My specialization is in the treatment of Anxiety, Depressive disorders, Anorexia, Bulimia, Disordered Eating, and Orthorexia, believing full recovery from an Eating Disorder, or mental health issue is possible. I possess an extensive background providing individual, family, and group psychotherapy to culturally diverse adult and adolescent populations. I have experience working on inpatient psychiatric hospital units, outpatient mental health clinics, and private practice settings. I collaborate with multi-disciplinary treatment teams to develop treatment plans and appropriate referrals for each patient's individualized needs.
I completed a two year post graduate program at the Center for the Study of Anorexia and Bulimia (CSAB) at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy in Manhattan. My training has allowed me to obtain expertise in using Psychodynamic Psychotherapy skills, while incorporating some Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), specifically with the eating disorder population.
I am currently working towards my hours for my Certified Eating Disorders Specialist (CEDS) Certification, through the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (IAEDP).
